Dental implants such as All-on-4® are a great solution for people missing teeth or wearing dentures. Denture wearers often complain of the limitations of foods they can eat, poor fit and how the denture can irritate their gums. A removable denture puts a lot of pressure directly on the bone surface which, over time, invariably results in bone wear and this is why the denture starts to lose its fit.
Research into Dental Implants
Dental implants are one of the most researched and successful procedures in dentistry and considered the optimal solution for replacing teeth. With a lifetime success rate of over 95%, implants have the highest rate of any tooth replacement option. Additionally dental implants have been shown to help maintain the health of the jawbone by preventing bone loss.
Why Dental Implants
Implants are titanium screws inserted into the jawbone to act as an anchor, or root, for an implant crown or bridge. Titanium is chosen for its superior biomechanical qualities which allow the implant to integrate with your natural bone. The implants look, feel and function like your natural teeth.
All-on-4® Implants Treatment Concept In One Day
When many teeth are broken, failing or missing, our ‘teeth in a day’ procedure allows patients to receive just four or more implants (All-on-4® Implants Treatment Concept) and a full set of new replacement teeth within 24 hours! This procedure is the most common treatment in our practice for full arch rehabilitation and is suitable for almost all lower jaw cases and most upper jaw cases. It involves a full set of teeth being supported using four or more implants tilted at 45° to take maximum advantage of existing bone, reducing the need for bone grafting. This is a benefit for people who have had missing full arch teeth for some time and have suffered bone loss.
Failing or broken teeth can be removed, All-on-4® Implants placed and a new set of teeth attached on the same day, under local or IV sedation. At CARE Dentistry we have a dental laboratory on site where professional dental technicians craft this set of teeth for you while you rest in our individual patient’s recovery room.
Soon you will be laughing and smiling and eating with confidence!
